Is Canada open for tourists 2022?

Several countries around the world have moved in the past few days towards easing restrictions and precautionary measures related to Corona, amid reports and warnings that the Omicron mutant is targeting children strongly, perhaps because most of them did not receive the Covid-19 vaccine, according to scientists.

The Corona epidemic has officially killed more than 5,731 million people worldwide since the end of December 2019, while the World Health Organization estimates that the total number of deaths might be two to three times higher, taking into account the increased number of deaths due to Covid-19 directly and indirectly.

Canada opens its borders to US tourists for the first time since March 2020

Canadian authorities have opened their land borders to American tourists who have been fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus without isolation requirements.

This is the first time that non-essential travel to Canada from the United States has been allowed since March 2020.

Fully vaccinated US citizens and US permanent residents can travel to Canada without having to self-isolate upon arrival.
The 3-night hotel stay requirement has also been abolished.

Meanwhile, the Canadian border has been opened to fully vaccinated travelers from the rest of the world from September 7.
However, the US government will not allow Canadians to cross into the US for non-essential reasons yet, as US officials have extended border restrictions for Canadians until 21 August at least.
